Earlier Archer and Cold War related as in mid 80's time frame. Tightly plotted, a bit overdone at times, but still a good escape story.

Jeffery Archer is one of my favorite authors and he didn't disappoint me with this book. Subtlety in characterizations and rich dialogue are his trademarks, as is the surprise ending. Much like his book, Shall We Tell The Preaident, he has a fine attention to detail, no doubt achieved by extensive research. I've read this book about five times and I can't wait to read it again.
